Yamhill County Fair & Rodeo

Join us for a full day at the Yamhill County Fair & Rodeo, Oregon's oldest fair, held at the Yamhill County Fair & Event Center in McMinnville. Now in its 172nd year, this four-day event brings rodeo, carnival rides, livestock exhibits, live music, and fair food together for a timeless summer tradition for families across Yamhill county.

This is a lively, high-energy event. Planning ahead makes it far more comfortable, especially for guests who prefer a slower pace or need to manage time on their feet.

Event highlights

  • Professional rodeo performances in the Cascade Rodeo Arena.

  • Rainier Amusements carnival, with all-day ride bracelets available online in advance.

  • 4-H and FFA youth exhibits and shows, open to the public during all fair hours.

  • Junior Livestock Auction, showcasing months of work by local young people.

  • Open Class Division displays — baking, canning, crafts, and home arts.

  • Live music and grandstand entertainment.

  • Saturday night demolition derby, the fair's closing tradition.

Accessibility and comfort

  • Fairgrounds are largely flat, with gravel and paved pathways between buildings.

  • Indoor exhibit halls offer shade and seating away from the midway noise.

  • A free shuttle runs from both parking lots to the grounds, 10 a.m. to closing daily.

  • Mornings and early afternoons are the calmest window. Crowds build sharply after 5 p.m.
